Cheaters Chocolate Fondue

In our house one hour before bedtime we would have SNACK. Always looking for something quick and different and somehow sneaking in something good for them was a plus. We used mostly apples, strawberries, pears, and pretzels - but you can be as creative as you want.
Ingredients:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter (or margarine)
apple wedges, pretzels, pineapple chunks, strawberries... (or what ever you prefer dipped in chocolate)
Directions:
Put chocolate chips in microwaveable bowl. Put the chunk of butter on top. Place in microwave on high until butter is melted. Chips usually keep their shape until you mix them. I use a fork and keep mixing until smooth. If the lumps don't smooth out, nuke it for 10 seconds and mix again.
Fill a plate with cut up "dipables" (apples etc.). Arm your dippers with a fork (if you dare!). Give them each a PAPER plate and a lot of napkins. Prepare yourself for a terrible mess!
No double dipping (cause that's just gross).
