Easy Spotted Spider Cookies

As a full-time mom and working woman, I am always looking for a cute and easy holiday treat for school parties, birthdays, and bake sales. My boys love peanut butter cups and one day I decided I could combine them with chocolate chip cookies for any easy Spotted Spider Cookies.

You will need:

chocolate chip cookies
miniature peanut butter cups
chocolate icing
mini candy-covered chocolates (such as M&M's)
black licorice

You can use store-bought chocolate chip cookies, slice and bake, or homemade. To the baked chocolate chip cookies, attach an upside-down miniature peanut butter cup with a bit of chocolate icing to make the spider's head. Add two mini candy-covered chocolates (Mini M&M's) for the eyes using chocolate icing as the eyeballs. Insert black licorice for the legs and the spider is ready to go!
