Fruit Mince Pie

This festive pie is perfect for Christmas or for a nice treat on a cold day.
Ingredients for the base:
200 grams (1 1/2 cups) flour
1 egg yolk
75 grams (1/3 cup) butter
2 tablespoons icing
50 ml (1/4 cup) water
Method for base:
Add the above ingredients in a bowl. Gradually add water and make a firm dough. Roll the dough over a sheet of plastic wrap about 3 mm (1/8 inch) thickness. Cut 7 cm (3 inch) circles out and press into the muffin pan. Bake this for 10-15 minutes.
Ingredients for the filling:
250 grams (8 ounces)nuts, plums, cashews
100 grams (3 1/2 ounces)green apple, grated
1 tablespoon mix fruit jam
3 tablespoons brown sugar
50 grams melted butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
Method for filling:
Combine all the ingredients together and set aside overnight. When the base is baked spoon the mixture on each muffin. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Tip: If there is any dough left over make beautiful stars out of it and bake for 10-15 minutes.
